Difference between public and private poker tournaments

Any poker tournament does have an entrance fee or enrollment fee to participate in the game. The funding for the poker tournament in most cases is decided by the membership fee and in some cases several sponsors contribute to the winning prizes. Many casinos and clubs offer a poker tournament at a scheduled time table. Online poker tournament is becoming quite widespread in most poker websites.

An public poker tournament is meant for participation by any legit player who can pay the entry fee. A pricate poker tournament is meant for participation by invited players, where other players may not qualify to play without invitation.

Each Poker tournament has its own terms about the chips. In some poker tournaments players can purchase unlimited number of chips for money. In some, poker tournaments players are restricted to the number of chips they can purchase and they can only play until they exhaust the said number of chips.

A poker tournament can have either limited or unlimited betting. In limited betting in any poker tournament there is restriction on the bet raise. In unlimited betting there is no restriction on the bet raise and the player can bet in the poker tournament until he is exhausted.
